Step back in time with these authentic handcrafted espadrilles, a testament to the artistry of the 1960s, before modern vulcanization and rubber soles revolutionized footwear.The sole of each pair is meticulously hand-stitched by Vicente, lovingly known as "El Borracho", one of the last remaining alpargateros (espadrille artisans) in northern Spain. Made from braided jute rope, the soles are shaped and sewn by hand using a punch on a custom-designed wooden bench, preserving the traditional craftsmanship of the era.
